“Sonsha Fallwater”

evil druid

Role: Boss (Campaign 1 Finale) | Form: Battle Form

  • Software: [ZBrush, Maya, Substance Painter]

Character Overview: Sonsha is the narrative driving force of the game and the final boss of the first campaign. This model represents her second, more evil "Battle Form," designed to intimidate the player and serve as a climactic visual encounter.

As a central villain, Sonsha needed to command attention while fitting within the same technical constraints as standard NPCs.

  • Visual Hierarchy: Since she is a boss character, I allocated more geometry to her face and upper torso to create a focal point for the player, ensuring her expressions were readable during cinematic moments.

  • Design Translation: The challenge was capturing her twisted, evil nature without making the design visually "noisy." I relied on sharp, aggressive shape language in her silhouette to communicate her role as the villain.

  • Optimisation: Despite her importance, strict adherence to the poly count was required to ensure performance during her complex combat sequences involving particle effects.
