Character Overview: Voornax serves as a major antagonist. As a Black Dragon, he required a menacing, skeletal, and swamp-dwelling aesthetic consistent with D&D lore.
This was the most technically demanding asset due to the ratio of physical size to polygon budget.
Deformation & Animation: As a large-scale boss, Voornax needed to look good from all angles. I prioritized edge loops around the wings, neck, and tail to ensure smooth deformation for his poses.
Texel Density: Managing texel density on such a massive creature was difficult; I utilized mirrored UVs where possible to maximize texture resolution.
Collaboration: This asset involved a feedback loop with Wizards of the Coast to ensure the stylized interpretation didn't lose the iconic, terrifying features specific to Black Dragons.
